Roulette Rules

Roulette is a game that requires no skill at all. Roulette was introduced to the world in the 17th century in France.

Roulette is played by up to eight players. These roulette players stand around the Roulette board.

The board has all the places where you can place your bets. Next to the board on the roulette table is the roulette wheel. This is a round attachment on the table that spins around. The spinner is used only by the dealer not the players of the game. The roulette wheel has 38 indentations on it including 2 zeroes. If it is not American version of roulette there is usually 1 zero so a total of 37 indentations. The colors of the wheel are alternating black and red. The only other ingredient for roulette is a small ball that the dealer throws onto the roulette wheel called the dolly. The house edge for roulette is 5.26%.

The game starts when all the players are done making there bets. Each of the players is given different color chips so that they can differentiate the player’s bets. The dealer then throws that little ball, or dolly, on the wheel after he puts it in motion. The dealer then calls “last bets” which means that there will no longer be anymore bets taken and no changes will be allowed.

When the ball stops it will land in one spot on the roulette wheel. The way you win money is if you bet on the spot that the ball landed on even zero. You can also win if you bet on the color that the dolly landed on, of course you win less because there is a greater chance you will win.
